"Accessible Tourism"

i-CREATe is proud to announce her 3rd premier convention which will be held in Singapore from 22 – 26 April, 2009. This year's theme "Accessible Tourism" promotes accessibility for all with the adoption of universal design, where assistive technologies will be used and introduced in the environment to improve accessible tourism.

Building on the success of her previous convention in 2007 and 2008, which were graced by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindorn, Thailand, we are expecting a bigger convention in 2009 with over 500 delegates at the conference and workshops. Exhibition will run alongside with the conference and will be opened to trade and public.

Into the 2nd installment of the Student Design Challenge (IBM Assistive & Rehabilitative Technology Student Design Challenge 2009), i-CREATe aims to give our next generation a better understanding of disabilities and how using assistive and rehabilitation technologies can help to improve the quality of life for person with disabilities. This challenge will provide a good platform for students to demonstrate their problem solving and design skills in an international challenge against their peers.

i-CREATe is honored to have the strong support of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindorn, Thailand who will be gracing the event for the 3rd consecutive year.

Save the dates and join us in Singapore for another memorable event!

Conference Chair
